Best Valentines Day Yet!

We had a fun filled Valentines Day this year! We both worked for a few hours and met at home around 2pm. We left the house and went to Tia Pan, I was looking for a couple of things for the house.

We both were hungry, so we drove downtown and parked our car at Little America. We decided we just take Trax to where we wanted to go. As we were walking out of Little America we saw the the Trax train coming so we ran to the train stop...turns out it wasn't the train we wanted, so we had to wait a few minutes, but it was funny to see how fast we booked it there.

We went and ate Olive Garden, with it being in the afternoon it wasn't crowded. We got sat in the back, and we were excited because we thought it would be nice and quiet...turns out we were wrong. There was family back there with a few little kids, and this lady who was part of the group who was sitting away from them behind me feeding her newborn. So between her and her family talking loudly to have a conversation back and forth, it wasn't peaceful. Then are waiter comes out, who was another character in itself...we just had to laugh. So it gets better, the lady who is feeding her kid right behind me, it turns out our waiter is her brother. The waiter picks up the newborn and kept coming to our table asking how everything was as he bounced the baby....really...is this allowed!? Lets just say I was glad we had a gift card and didn't have to pay out of pocket for the service and atmosphere...also a good reminder why we do take out all the time!

After eating, we took Trax down to Gateway. We walked around in the shops and of course the Apple Store. We went and treated ourselves to chocolate strawberries and a cookie for Colby. We then headed to Energy Solutions for the Lady Antebellum Concert.

Colby got awesome seats. It was row 8 right in the center!

I will admit I am not big country music person, but there are a few artists I love. The concert started right at 7PM. Thompson Square helped open for Lady Antebellum.

I loved the big Red Lips!

With it being Valentines Day, she got flowers! I have never heard of Thompson Square Before, but I did like some of their stuff.

Thinking Lady Antebellum was next, I was wrong. This guy gets on stage and sings for like an hour....an hour. We thought we were at the wrong concert because it was almost 9PM. Turns out this guys name is Darius Rucker. I told you I don't listen to much country! We were informed he was the lead singer for Hootie and the Blowfish..makes a little more sense.

Finally, the faces of Lady Antebellum made their way to stage and they were AmAzIng! I love all their songs, I love the way they sing, I love how down to earth they are, I loved how good they were to the fans.

It was cool to see them just 2 days after they had been to the Grammy's and won!

They make such good music, very talented people!

My favorite part of the night is this picture of her holding this little girl. With fans standing right by the stage, there was this mom holding this little girl in the air holding her hand up to get a high from one of the singers. They were like, we need to get this little girl up here. They asker her what her name was and old she was. She said her name was Paige and she was 3! They asked her if she wanted to introduce the next song? She nodded her head and said the name of the song in the microphone. She was adorable, the best part is she knew all their songs and was singing them!

They brought their band, Darius Rucker, and Thompson Square on stage for a big group song!

I love Lady Antebellum! Thanks Colby for thinking of me way in advance and getting these tickets for my birthday! It was a great great concert!!!

After the concert we went and waited for Trax, when it arrived there a cat fight broke out between to girls saying the B and F word, we had a good laugh as we watched their boyfriends pull each of them off of each other.

We got home and I had a couple of gifts for Colby.

I had a star named after Colby, yep he has his own real star out there!

And I got him a computer game...StarCraft

Holding up the concert tickets!

Colby got me flowers, they were beautiful and made the house smell so good!

Happy Valentines Day! I Love You Colby!
